In this video, I show desktop developers how to get their machine ready for Angular development.

Angular development requires four pieces of software:

  1. Node JS
  2. NPM
  3. Angular CLI
  4. An IDE (Visual Studio Code)

Installing Angular requires only three steps.

  1. Install Node JS and NPM. When you install Node, NPM is automatcaly installed too. This one step takes care of the first two requires pieces of software.
  2. Install the Angular CLI by using the command line command `ng install -g @angular/cli`
  3. Install Visual Studio Code.

That’s it, you’re ready to start writing Angular applications.
